When I saw this post on Stumbleupon yesterday, I knew I had to try it.
Her recipe was for one little greek yogurt container, but since I didn’t have the little containers, but a big tub of Fage Greek yogurt, I had to create a recipe to make it work for me. And the result was amazing!
The kids loved it.
And that’s what really counts in mommy’s world, isn’t it?
I love Greek Yogurt but sometimes, it’s hard to get by that unique sour flavor that sometimes I don’t really care for. I have tried different Greek yogurts before and found that Fage is my favorite. I like the texture a lot. It’s not too thin. Just thick enough for my liking.
This little treat was perfect for me, especially because I’m on a diet. And one bowl of this satisfied my cravings for sweets.
It almost tastes like peanut butter cookie dough and the chocolate chips are such a great addition to this healthy treat.
So here’s how you make it –
This is a recipe for 3-4 people… If you’re making it for yourself, quarter the recipe. (except you could probably add a little more peanut butter and agave.) You will need 2 cups Greek Yogurt. I used Fage 0%.
Add two generous tablespoons to the Greek yogurt.
Add 2 generous tablespoons of agave sweetner or maple syrup or honey… It’s your choice. (I used agave) Also add a pinch of salt.
Stir in a handful chocolate chips, about 1/2 cup.
And ta-da! A delicious healthy dessert done!
Divide it into 3 or 4 servings and enjoy!
